SIWW is part of the government of Singapore’s integrated strategy for building a world-class water tech center, a Silicon Valley for water. Singapore has already brought the giants of water to set up R&D facilities in Singapore. In order to build a robust business center around the strong water research, the Economic Development Board, in partnership with the Public Utilities Board (PUB), is building an additional initiative around high-growth companies that have significant intellectual property. This year, in additional to an investment conference, the TechXchange, the government of Singapore sponsored its first commercialization workshop for its home-grown start-ups.
